You Just need more focus

What do you need to move forward with your 2026 goals?

More of something?

More time, more credentials, more training, more customers, more services, more products, more human resources (big breath), more software, more hardware, more funding, more followers, more likes, more of this, or maybe more of that.

Some of us certainly need more of something. No doubt about that.

But maybe, just maybe, you have everything you need to move forward.

Maybe you need less of “more”, and just commitment to what you want to build.

When Steve Jobs came back to Apple after a very unceremonious sabbatical (read: he got fired from his own company at the age of 30), one of the first things he did was not do more.

Contraire monfrair, he cut about 70% of the product line. This was in 1997.
Apple went from losing $1 billion per year in 1997 to a $65 billion-per-year company in 2010.

Remember the iPod? I do. It put 1,000 songs in your pocket. The iPod wasn’t the first MP3 player, but it put MP3 players on the map. More specifically, it removed all the others from the map.

That’s what commitment will get you.

In my experience, getting good results with anything comes down to focusing on doing the basics really, really well. And committing to the rigor needed.

It’s not rocket science. Rocket science is rocket science.

This is not. This is about committing to what you want to create.
